The only other, real, competitor for the Nintendo DS is the Sony PSP – this handheld console offers much better graphics and games suited to older kids and hardcore gamers! Its a fantastic piece of equipment and will definately occupy your teenage boy for hours! Obviously you can get some kids headphones aswell to cut out any noise for fellow passengers.
Whats more the Sony PSP also plays movies which makes it versatile and great value for money.

Kids MP3 Players
MP3 players are a must have gadget for any self respecting kid these days and none more so than the Apply iPod – these come in a range of different colours and models you can even get some matching headphones for the ultimate style look! Apple products are fantastic and offer not only quality but accessability aswell with their itunes store allowing you to purchase the latest tracks online at a reasonable price.
If the iPod’s are a bit too pricey then there are plenty of great deals to be had with other MP3 Players – you wont get all the bells and whistles that Apple offer but they can be picked up for very cheap these days.

Portable DVD Players for Kids
Probably the best option as all kids love to watch DVD’s and in some cases they can use multiple headphones so 2 or more of your children can watch the same dvd in the car or on the plane. Portable DVD players are small and light so they are great to take with you on holiday you can even charge them through the car adapter for those long car rides!
